INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL SUPPORT

International Medical Support

Clearer steps from health screening to care coordination in Japan.

Clearer steps from health screening to care coordination in Japan.

GATEWAY began supporting medical checkup visits to Japan at an early stage and has experience coordinating comprehensive screening as well as visits, appointments and stays associated with advanced specialist treatment. Through established professional medical coordination resources, we help clients and their families communicate with providers in different regions of Japan. Acceptance and appointments remain subject to each provider’s confirmation.

Beyond equipment: clinical expertise and clear communication.

When considering care in Japan, look beyond equipment to clinicians’ specialties, experience, and ability to assess and explain findings in context. Medical images must be interpreted by healthcare professionals alongside symptoms and other results. GATEWAY helps clarify your needs and questions so that provider arrangements are considered on their suitability, rather than equipment or location alone.

We help confirm preferences for a quiet consultation setting, interpreter attendance, private spaces and information sharing before the visit. Facilities and privacy arrangements vary by provider. Medical information is shared with relevant parties only with the client’s consent and within the necessary scope.

What we offer

01

Comprehensive screening

Coordinate enquiries about screening programmes and schedules in light of your goals, age and medical history. Providers determine whether individual examinations are necessary and appropriate.

02

Specialist enquiries & appointments

Help clarify required records, acceptance conditions, costs and schedules for specialist or treatment enquiries. We do not guarantee appointments at every hospital or access to a particular treatment.

03

Medical interpreting & Chinese translation

Depending on the case and language needs, coordinate professionals or partners with appropriate medical interpreting experience, expertise or qualifications, and support Chinese translation of examination results and reports. Document scope, languages and fees are agreed in advance; medical explanations and decisions remain with healthcare professionals.

04

Record organisation & follow-up

With your consent, help organise medical records and coordinate ongoing communication, clinician consultations and review reminders based on the provider’s plan. Storage arrangements, retention and recipients are agreed individually. Medical advice is provided by clinicians.

05

Aesthetic medicine coordination

Coordinate provider consultations, interpreting, appointments and aftercare communication for skin and aesthetic medicine enquiries. The provider explains suitability, risks, recovery and costs to support an informed decision. No outcome or risk-free treatment is promised.

06

Visit & stay arrangements

Coordinate transport, accommodation and family accompaniment around appointments. Changes related to health or treatment plans are discussed with the provider.

From enquiry to delivery

01

Initial enquiry

Share your general enquiry purpose, preferred timing and contact details. Do not submit medical histories, images or clinical records through the general contact form.

02

Records & provider review

Confirm required records, purpose, recipients and a secure transfer method before sharing information with consent for provider review.

03

Scope, fees & scheduling

Confirm acceptance conditions and the scope, fees and timing of interpreting, translation and visit support. The provider handles clinical explanations and informed consent.

04

Visit & continued communication

Support appointment communication, report translation, contact after returning home and review reminders within the agreed scope.
